The balancing factors in the body and the dislocations of the joints
The background in many chronic pains, such as back pain, can be traced to joint dislocations and the imbalance of the musculature and the exoskeleton. These cause changes in the lengths of the muscles and supporting tissues followed by tension in nerves and dysfunctions in metabolism. Over time these dislocations can start causing degeneration. Imbalances caused by a dislocated or twisted pelvis and locked SI-joints are especially common and can easily be seen.
For example, the problems you can examine in front of the mirror on your own are:
– Declination of the head – Height differences between the shoulders – Oblique hip – The height difference from the floor to the tip of the fingers, when hung straight down – Position of knees (eg. knock knees) – Position of feet (eg. turned out)
“The difference in length” of legs
Normally both our legs are the same length. When a difference of length is noticed, the problem is usually a dysfunctional SI-joint and pelvis. A twisted and inclined pelvis also turns the hip joints attached to the ilia, and sets them on different heights in the pelvis.
The appearing height difference can also be followed by incorrect position of the feet or knees, or locked heel bone which is tightened by the Achilles tendon. After balancing the pelvis and SI-joints the length difference between the legs is corrected. Artificial platforms to lengthen the “shorter leg” usually cause more harm than good, since they support the imbalance in the pelvis.
